Door 1 – Chapter 2

Alum had a successful day at work even through they require him to change hairs for it. After work he wanted to plant some lettuce, which the communtiy garden provided free of change to take home and plant. HIs garden is coming along.

Alum earned a promotion at work and since he came home and had wished for his first kiss with no one specific. I had him hang around after work to see if any of these sims interested him. They did not everyone was much more interested in books.

Alum made friends with his co-worker, whom I can’t remember her name, but she’s an elderly yellow sim. After work he had to pay bills and wanted to work on his garden in his work outfit. I guess now they let him where is normal hair.

It’s the weekend, so after Alum got himself ready for the day, he spent time with his garden. Then I found him reading a book, which I didn’t think he should have since I bought him the cheapest bookcase. Looking at his inventory bag, it looks like he ‘stole’ several books from the university dorms.

When Alum earned his promotion and recieved a bonus, he wanted to spend it on a slip’n’slide. The weekend was the first chance he had to use it.

He also decided that he need to learn to fish, so he spent some time at a nearby pond. He learns the fishing skill very easily.

He wasn’t going to find romance and a sim to kiss by himself. I sent him to the park to see who he might want. He did speak to a teenager, who loves comics too.

Alum’s co-worker was there too and he wasn’t interested in her or the turquoise elf. He barely spoke to her, before she ignored Alum and read a book.

Then this sim Daric came over and spoke to Alum which led them to discuss their love out doors and gardening. But Alum had no hearts of attraction for him, just half way to friendship. Daric is currently dating my simself that’s running around Dragon Valley.

Also Alum’s boss and her husband was in the park – the blue elves. She’s pregnant.

The park then emptied and since Alum had a wish to pick a wild plant; he stopped by the community garden on the way home. He hurried home to crash afterward as he had a busy day.

The next day Aine called to chat while he was getting ready for the day. They chatted for awhile, she’s getting close to being his friend.

So I’m trying to find him a sim to have his first kiss and Alum’s not given me much to know whom would be best. I then decided to try to see if one of the sims from online dating would meet up with him and hope they worked out. It didn’t work out as the sim met Alum outside, but left as soon as Alum started talking about gardening and comic to get to know him. He just wants to be friends and ran way. So we had failure.

Since we’re not having any luck, Alum worked on his garden a bit. He also really likes the slip’n’slide as he’s always changing into his swimsuit.

Since Alum has to complete his degree wish, we applied for more financial aid and left for another term at university. Maybe he’ll have better luck there for a kiss.

Alum arrived to the first of snows on campus. He also joined the Fraternity dormitory in hopes they are friendlier than the last dorm. Also, inferring from his online dating profile, in which they were all male sims, Alum is gay. Now, to find him a guy. Also, he finds at least one of these roommates attractive according to his moodlets.

Alum barely gets moved in, and then runs off to orientation and grabs all of the freebies again. He now has duplicates. He also wonders around meeting people and playing games with them, but none give him hearts.

One of the guys at the fraternity calls Alum to tell him about the party that they are throwing as a start to the new term. So, it was all a bunch for frat boys doing keg-stands. But at least these guys seem friendlier with Alum.

Then Alum wanted to do the ink blot test on Khan, but to do that he had to get know him a bit. But Alum did get to do the ink blot test.

Alum finally crashes and heads to bed. Then this sim named Harold comes in to the room. Harold was the sim that Alum hearted but was yelled out about his comics last time at university. Also, Harold’s the only attractive sim to Alum, so I guess that will whom he’ll persue for his first kiss.

He ate another free candy bar and he again threw up. Alum quit taking free candy that makes you sick.

With all the parting at the frat house, sometimes the boy goes to sleep during guest lectures. This isn’t helping much with grades, through he does work hard in the other classroom work.

Alum finally was able to get to talk with Harold and become friends with him. Then Alum gets his first kiss. Then he proceeds to continue to flirt with Harold until they both went to bed.

Alum has been working hard during class. To relieve his stress, Alum made a snow man. Then ran off to meet Andrew, who shared the same interests in fishing and the love of the outdoors. Alum wanted to know his sign and they were instant friends. But no hearts and afterward, nothing wished for with him. He was the fastest friendship made through.

Alum wished to go swimming. I wasn’t sure he could go swimming in the middle of winter, but sent over to the pool to see if it was indoors. Alum went swimming and I worried about the cold for him.

After achieving his swimming wish, Alum wished to get warm. Home to the frat house and warming himself in front of the fire with a little dance.

Despite the snow and cold, labs are still held outside. Alum gained another science level from his lab work. Also, he caught a cold, so he was miserable for a few days.

The rest of the guys at the frat house stick about at the table and really are friendlier to Alum then the last dorm. Alum also decided to study.

After getting over his cold, Alum wished to build an igloo. He had a lot of fun building it. After the wish was completed, Alum immediately wished to woohoo in the igloo, but Harold had left the house for some reason.

While waiting on Herold to return, either Jeffrey or Kahn caught the stove on fire since they left the food on it and went to answer the door. Jeffrey or Kahn does put the fire out. (They look a lot alike and so I can’t remember which one it was.)

Harold did come back before Alum went to bed, so the igloo woohoo wish happened, then he wished to woohoo with Harold.

They slept out in the igloo and in the morning they flirted a bit and then Harold did the ink blot test on Alum. Alum got a bit frosty in his boxers and then went in to get warm in front of the fire again.

• 

It was the weekend so no classes to call them away to. Alum and Harold spent pretty much the whole time woohooing. I didn’t even need to help fulfill all of those wishes since he did that himself.

Alum did have salad and talked with Rex (the elder sim) and Tim (I know it was longer but he’s dubbed as Tim now). These sims actually waited and talked with Alum after they were finished.

I don’t remember ever having a sim wish to slow dance, but Alum did. So Harold and Alum had a slow dance where Harold kept stepping on Alum’s toes, but Alum didn’t mind at all. Then after that was completed he wished to watch the stars with Harold. Seriously, Alum’s a bit obsessed now.

Alum is applying himself to his studies again, asking questions and even studying. I guess he wants to do well.

• 

• 

Alum has gotten invited to parties which has increased his friends circle. He’s gotten several friends here now. Keg stands seem to make friends quickly between the guys. And at another party, he practiced the stimulus experiment.

• 

• 

Alum was feeling the need to visit a park, so he checked out the one on campus, but he didn’t seem to impressed with it. It may have been the rain or early hour, since it was before class time. He made it to lab class and this time at least there was no snow.

• 

Jeffrey’s friend Sarah came over for a party and Alum want to do the stimulus test on her and was so shocked when she caught it.

This is the face of Alum when he knows he aced his final exams.

So the next day when he received his grades, I’m not sure why he looked so worried of course the genius boy got an A.

It’s the last day at university for this term and Alum goes off to say good by to Harold before he leaves.

Alum made it home and no burglar this time. I think that he’ll need one more term to finish his degree. He checks on his garden before heading to bed as he does have work tomorrow.

Door 1 – Chapter 1

Alum gets started at the medical center in Dragon Valley and on his way to be a doctor. Dragon Valley is very pretty and the Celtic-Elven theme fits Alum very well. He met his boss Aine Mitheren and then left as he desired to buy a tomato. So off he goes to buy a tomato at the pretty grocery store.

Alum then wished to learn the gardening skill and the logic skill. In an effort to get to know his new town, he visited the local library and read the necessary books to get started on his skills.

After learning to garden from the book, he decided he needed to go home and plant the tomato and a few other things to get him started on a garden.

After he had started his job, he wished also to go to university. So the 2nd day, he took a test to see if he could get funds to attend uni. He did get a partial scholarship, but before he could enroll his carpool took him to his first day of work.

Then after work, he wished to work on his garden. It’s sprouted.

Then since he had enough funds to go to university, off he went. Alum will be staying in a dorm. These are his room mates he met. Alum kind of sticks out at university.

The first thing Alum does is pull out a text book and the little genius starts studying. Alum does wish to socialize with a nerd, but apparently his roommates don’t count since when he tried talking to the nerd next to him it didn’t count.

Alum heard there was a meet and greet for new students at the student center and he ran off there and proceeded to get all of the freebies available. One included this bones anatomy set, but Boney went missing about halfway through his term at university, don’t know what he did with it.

Alum wished to socialize with a supernatural and we found this werewolf. She’s wearing the Marmalade signature pattern. I hadn’t seen any townie wear it before. Every talk bubble from her was white, so I guess she though Alum was too much white or she just likes that color alot.

Then Alum wondered over to the arcade games and proceeded to spend more of his limited funds and kept loosing until he left to go back to the dorms to sleep.

Before he made it to bed, he had to go throw up that free candy bar. So, apparently, don’t take free candy at Uni, can make you ill.

Alum attends classes. In this lecture hall, half the class are slackers and the other half actually participate in class. Even Alum raises hand on occasion to ask questions. Through I don’t see the invisible lecturer.

Alum also attends the lab activities and for some reason his roommate shows up and is grouped with him. I don’t know if she’s suppose to be his lab partner or not.

Alum then disrupts lab time to puke, since he ate a hot dog that sat out all night. There’s a smart genius right there. This will not be the only time he does this either.

Alum also wished to learn the science skill. So he researches science in the labs. It also makes him a nerd and increases his grades.

Alum was just getting up when apparently one of his roommates left food on the stove and left for class. They lost the stove and counter, but the fireman saved the refrigerator. I’m not replacing things with Alum’s limited funds. The roommates will just have to eat what’s in the fridge or microwave food.

Alum was stressed from working hard in the class since he wants to ace his exams. For stress relief he decided on chess. Which will make him better at his job when he returns home.

When he doesn’t choose to play chess, he finds people to play frisbee with. The frisbee was a freebie from the meet and greet. They normally don’t play long with him through.

He had a weekend at the university. Alum ate some more bad food, this time mac-n-cheese. Also he wished to further his science skills. Then when reaching the new level to run examine the science samples.

Alum wondered around the student union and he met this jock, who he had hearts around his head with. But that didn’t end well, since apparently he doesn’t like comic books or anything to do with gardening. Poor Alum has no luck with socializing.

• 

• 

Even his roommates won’t socialize with him. He comes to sit down with dinner and they all get up and leave every time.

He had been so good about going to bed on his own, but tonight he had a coffee. Which I really didn’t think would work since the coffee machine is charred like the stove and counter, but it does.

Alum wanted to analyze a rock that he got for leveling his science skill. So he did that before he had his caffeine crash and went to bed.

Another lecture to attend, this time most of the room stayed awake even if it was smaller group. After class, Alum stayed to study since he had started before class but got interrupted. He wished to study so he’s keeping those grades up.

Then Alum was just minding his own busy learning on his own when a roommate came up and yelled at him then she went off to bed. Seriously, no one likes Alum here.

Alum again wants to ace his exams, so he works hard in class and plays chess to release stress. Sometimes he plays video games. I know he doesn’t have the loner trait, but he’s acting like it. Is it because he want to become a nerd and advance his nerd ranking? Who knows.

Oh, Alum finally gets someone to eat dinner with him. This I think was Willard and I think he’s a nerd too. But Alum still hasn’t made a friend, not that he has wished for one or tried hard to make one after he’s met someone.

Alum met for his lab work and was the only one who showed up. I guess his nerdiness scares his classmates off.

Alum finally got around to making food and not eating what ever was available. Then wanted to increase his cooking skill, so he read a book he had picked up from the collage bookstore.

Alum wished to analyze a plant and so the peppermint that he had in his pocket was analyzed. Afterward, he chose to eat it for breakfast.

It’s the day of finals and instead of any last minute studying, Alum starts a bonfire outside. He did enjoy himself and maxed out his fun meter before heading off to his final exams. Good luck to Alum.

He thinks he aced the exams and then proceeds to go back to the dorm and poke his eye out with the pool stick while the gnome cheers. He also picked up a graduate gnome and it’s in his inventory for when he goes home.

Alum recieved his report card and had a A. He also now has 18 credits toward a medical degree. He has the complete a degree wish locked in now as well. I didn’t realize he needs 48 credits, so he has 18 due to the 6 he started with from the assessment.

He finished his last day on campus by trying to increase his science skill, but didn’t complete that.

On his first night back from university, the alarm goes off as a burglar sneaks in to still stuff. The cop does catch the criminal and save Alum’s things. Alum did go back to bed on his own, since he knew he had work the next day. The cop recused the university starter kit the thief took off the front lawn.

So there is Alum’s start for his Door 1 and I realized afterward that it was suppose to be part time job for door 1, but too late now. Alum’s door was will be starting in the medical field and Door 2 will the the part time job door. Also that degree may be pain to get. I’m kind of glad the Marmalades never did wish to go off to university or earn a degree.

Sliding Door Challenge Start

I’ve repurposed this blog of mine for a new Sims 3 story just for Alum Stirrings. Rules for the challenge is found here. Alum will live 3 separate lives all which will be lived in Dragon Valley since I really want to try it out as I haven’t played there despite having it.

Meet Alum Stirrings who is a Green-Thumb, Loves the Outdoors, Hopeless Romantic, Angler, Genius. I built him a small home on a 40×40 lot in Dragon Valley.

And with that the first of his new lives starts.
